I learned that people will do anything for rights. some things that stuck to me were how the kids actually wanted and volunteered to go to jail. Another thing that stuck to me is how the policemen treated the black people, how they brought out fire hoses and dogs and just opened fire on them. Pushing them on the ground and beating them with sticks and rocks and even chairs, it made me sick to watch. It also screws with my mind that if I would have lived back then that I probably would have done the same thing. I’m glad we watched the movie though because it shows everyone how black people were treated, and I can’t wait to read the book.
