Design project- Day 1
Today was the most exciting day first we went on a field tri to a design studio ( my group went to Haworth). We learned how they made office stuplies like desks and chairs and we saw some pretty cool floor planes of there building. We went into the testing lad were they saw how durable the chairs where. The coolest thing to me was they put 250 pound weight on the chair to see if it could hold it. After we took a class picture and said “thanks” we headed to are towns library where are clients meet the whole grade. They went over the project brief and then we headed over to the lot that we would be putting the park to get a fell of the space. When we came back we had lunch then we made affinity clusters made out of sticky notes.

I am glad that you enjoyed your time at Haworth. I actually get to go there a lot for my job as an Architect. So you got to see how they make and test chairs, but did you like how they actually use their own chairs they make in their office? Did you like the building? What was the purpose of the field trip to the design studio?

That is so cool! Yes, i got to see the test chairs it is so crazy how they put that much weight on it and it doesn’t break. Ya its crazy that they use there own chairs their. I loved the building it was just so cool how it all flows together.

So after that trip, seeing what it is to be a designer, do you think you want to become a designer?

I dont know it would be fun but very hard at the same time.
