volcano

0

We made a composite volcano. We made it out of cheap play doe around a diet coke. We are going to put Mentos in it and it will explode. We have been working on this for about 2 weeks. We painted the volcano and labeled 10 things on the volcano. We have a hot spring, side vent, parasitic cone, dike, pyroclastic flow, magma chamber, pipe, vent, crater, and a lava flow.

God’s Preparation

My abilities that God could be using are sports, not being angry all the time and being joyful. I’m not really sure what God has in store for me but I hope it will further the kingdom of God. I don’t know what God has been doing to help me do that. A thing that might help me is when I went on a mission trip to Mexico.

Ideal Church vs. Early Church

0

In bible class we are learning about our ideal church and the early church and how they are different. The early church gave to anyone that had need and our ideal church we don’t give anything except to get something.

I think the Early church had it right. They always shared what they had they didn’t car who it was. our church gives to get things, but the early church gave to get nothing back.

We thought that a pyramid would be a good thing to do. We thought that a person that didn’t have anything but 2 sides would be a good idea. the answer is 6.54 I think the result is right because I measured it and checked the answer to make sure it was right

Tina has to make a model pyramid for a project. The problem is, she forgot an angle. Luckily, she remembers two of them. However, she has no idea what to do. She already made one side of the pyramid with somewhat expensive materials, so she can’t just remake it. She also doesn’t have a ruler anymore, so she can’t measure it either. That’s why you’re here to help her. According to her the base of the triangle is two and a half inches. and the hypotenuse of the triangle is seven inches. what is the last angle which makes the height of the pyramid.

The book I chose was the Eragon series by Christopher Paolini. A dragon hatched for Eragon and ever since then he has been attacked by the empire he was lied to and was hurt. The theme of the book was don’t let your anger control you or cloud your judgment.

Eragon gets mad at an elf. Eragon was insulted by an elf that made fun of him because he was slower than him, and he was scared. He attacked him and was angry at him and he attacked with magic then another elf attacked him. He was then scolded by his dragon rider teacher to not let his emotions control him.

Oromis, Eragon’s dragon rider teacher got equally mad at a dragon rider that was controlled by the empire. The consequence was that him and his dragon died by the dragon rider that was a slave to the empire.

Another person that put her angers in front of her common sense was that she had to do the knife contest with a nomad tribe to have their trust in her. She had a lot of fighting in her future and she could not attack because of her cuts.

The theme of the book was don’t let your anger control you or cloud your judgment. I think the book had a good thesis for us teanagers to not let our emotions control us.

hqdefaultpic of nitrogen cycle

first the nitrogen can be any were but we started it up in the air. it comes down as lightning. It nitrates in the soil and is made proteins for plants. Then it is food for plants it dies or goes to the bathroom. it decays and has ammonia in soil. it goes back nitrates in soil. it denitrifies the bacteria when it is either in water or soil. the nitrogen then comes back into the air.

At my church my sermon was about how Jesus’ grand parents were all messed up like everyone else. He grand parents weren’t almost perfect they made mistakes. I think it means all that God didn’t want a perfect family for jesus he wanted the same for everybody else.

Matthew 7:24-25

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.  The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.

At Camp Roger we picked out the theme verse for this year. We picked built on the rock because we thought it would match this year and how we threw the rocks at the entrance to the new addition. how we are built on the christian Rock for 100 years

This verse will help me in school to remind me that even if people look different we are all the same since we’re all built on the rock. If I see anyone with that doesn’t look happy I will try to encourage them. I know that God made everyone in his eyes and I should look at them the same. I also can apply the verse in school by helping other people to learn the bible more and love God more. In school I should put God’s word into action and instead of reading it and letting it go. I should be putting it into practice.

I think built on the rock means that in easy and in tough times we should always turn to God not just when it is hard. I think this verse in the real world will help me by seeing everyone equally. Not homeless people lesser than me. It will also help me to read the bible more so I can have a better firm on the rock. I should do what God says like love your neighbor which is everyone. I should also give money to the poor, and homeless people I should give them a lunch/dinner.

At Camp Roger we picked out the theme verse for this year. We picked built on the rock because we thought it would match this year and how we threw the rocks at the entrance to the new addition. how we are built on the christian Rock for 100 years. In conclusion I should treat everyone the same. I should help people that need help and put God’s word into practice.

My descriptive writing

The anchor card reminds me of tubing and surfing. I had to put my feet in the right position and had to plant my feet hard. I finally got up after like 15 try’s. I could feel the water splashing on my legs. We went past the ThornApple River golf course. I could hear the geese honking at each other while people played golf.

The compass card reminds me about when I went to Shipsahana. We drove 2 hours down to shipshawana and we started to walk around. It felt like we went in every store there but we didn’t buy any thing. I felt like my feet were going to fall off. The sweat was running down my back because it was so hot. I saw water on the road and it looked like the horses were walking on it because it wasn’t there.

The suit case card reminds me of the time when I went to Boston. Finally a break from the long car ride right by Boston. My legs felt like my legs were jello. I went on a boat and it was a little rough and I wasn’t feeling good and all of a sodden I through up over the boat and into the water. My mouth felt like it was on fire. We saw a lot of whales like humpback and fin wales

What I did this summer

I think that Francois Pinaar and Mandela changed a lot it was mostly Francois that changed Mandela always respected Francois. I don’t think that Francois hated Mandela I just think he was influenced by his father. Francois didn’t have a hole different life so when Francois saw that he had a new found respect for him.

The blacks hated the whites and the whites disliked the blacks, but Nelson Mandela didn’t hate the whites he didn’t want segregation he wanted equal groups. The whites and the blacks walked and talked together after Apartheid.

intro to Africa

I thought that it was crazy how many Africans have H.I.V. and AIDS but can’t get them because they don’t have enough money. I also though it was weird that a little people have cellphones and internet. It gave me a whole new perspective.

Probability

0

When we started we learned about probability from games and carnival games. We learned that to find probability (this is for our group) is that you need to multiply the length by width and the area of the little bucket and then divide it by in this case 113/132 to get our answer witch is 85%. Then we played yatzee and we found the probability.

Again I learned that for our game we had to divide it by 113/132 to get our answer witch is 85%. I learned that for yatzee you had to find all of the possibilities to get what you want.

I think this is easier for probability to do this instead because it put it how I learned best
