Math Lesson 5-1

Something that I have been working on in math is plotting points on the coordinate plane. I have to remember that negative is before positives. So the coordinantes are written like this for example, (-4, 2) and the “x” axis is always written first and the “y” axis second. What you do to figure where the point is suppose to go is so first you have you’re coordinante plane.

coordinateplane  Then you have to find where negative four is on the “x” axis and what I do is hold my finger on it the I find two (not negative to) on the “y” axis. I put my finger on that to then with the height of two on the “y” axis I move it negative four. Then you make a little circle where you’re finger is.
