I think that it was pretty cool that we went over the words. I like the 7 last words that we talked about. I know that one of the words that i need to do better with is trust in God through good times and bad times.

God sightings
In church we just went over our series that we just got done with in church. It is about counterfeit gods and how we get distracted by all those things and don’t focus on god. Some of the things were power, money and some other ones.
Heat convection in liquids
I observed that the color went up but once it hi the middle of the water it went up slower than what it would have when you first put the drops in.

The name of the book that I read was Michael Oher I Beat the Odds. The author of this book is Don Yaeger. In this book there is a kid Michael Oher who is taken away from his mom because she was a drug addic. He had all brothers and some of them were separated from each other and got put in foster homes. And then he is in high school and he meets this one family and they take him into their house for a while. Then while he is there he plays football and has a very good time. Then that family adopted him and he got scholarships for football. He went to Ole Miss for football and then went into the NFL and got drafted by the Baltimore Ravens. From this book I learned that I should try to do the best in everything that I do.
With this thesis that I learned from the book, I saw some things where I could see it from how he was acting, talking or doing something else. So when Michael Oher was in highschool he didn’t get the best grades because he wasn’t well taught when he was little and he always switched schools. But he had to keep his grades up to play football for his high school team and not just that but to get accepted into colleges to play football. One way he did that was getting a tutor and help gets his grades and and also he studied really hard. That what I saw him do the best that he could do in everything.
When Michael Oher was 13 years old he got up at 6:00 am and sold newspapers on the streets in Memphis to make money for clothes and food. I saw him doing the best he can by this because he is getting up really early to sell newspapers to make money for himself. I’m 14 years old and I don’t even have a job. I don’t have a job because I depend on my parents. He is making money for his younger and older brothers and sisters. That reminds me I should do the best I can through just working.
One thing in the book is that he is always trying to be a good friend, son and brother. When he was little he was taking care of all of his brothers and sisters and they taking care of him also. You could just tell this all through his actions and how he talks to them. This is what I saw him do the best he could. And that was telling me the best I can do just from being nice to people.
So in this book I learned that I should try to do the best in everything that I do. Through all the stuff that I talked about and more. This was a very good book that I read and I would easily prefer this book over anything else.
