Are you looking for a good pet?  Well, here are some ideas for why a dog is a good pet to have in your home.  After reading this, I hope you feel the same way I do why God has given us dogs.

Dogs are good pets because they are really fun to play with. My dog Ginger, a Beagle, loves to run and chase her tennis ball. I will throw it from the family room to the dinning room and Ginger will run as fast as the wind to retrieve the ball and bring it back to you!!  Ginger also loves to go for walks, all I have to do is say, “Want to go for a walk?” and she immediately perks her ears up ready to go. Lastly, I really love to wrestle with Ginger and when I do she makes funny noises.

Dogs make good pets because they are easy to care for. Ginger only needs to be fed once a day.   So, when I get from school that is the first thing I must do. She is also easy to care for because I only have to give her a bath once a every few weeks.  Then Ginger makes it  easy to go outside because she will sit by the slider door and wait to be let out, but if I don’t get there soon enough she will bark.  Then when she is done going boom boom and bam bam, she will come back by the deck and bark to be let in.

Dogs make good pets because they are good companions. Every night Ginger loves to cuddle up and sleep by me or on my lap.  Gigner’s only problem is she likes to snore and make funny noises when she is dreaming. Dogs also make good companions for elderly folks, because if they are living alone or in a nursing home, the dog can be good company.  Dogs are great companions because they are usually very loyal to their master.

In conclusion, I believe dogs are good pets for anyone, young or old, to provide play, exercise, companionship and most of all love and friendship.
