¡Queridos Padres!

We have had a great first 2020 school week! With some kids not enjoying of healthiness, but overall a great week! Please continue to pray for the healthiness in our classroom! I am planning o start to work with the reading benchmark this week. We are working hard on keeping things clean and washing our hands constantly.

GRAMMAR:

    • Grammar:  Personal pronouns – yo, tú, él, ella, usted and subject verb agreement in sentences and superlatives -ísimo, ísima, ísimos, ísimas (added to adjectives for emphasis).  Ex:  grandísimo, grandísima, bellísimos, bellísimas.
    • Word Wall Words:  pero, el amigo, todo, juntos, venir
    • Syllables:  ja, je, ge, ji. gi, jo, ju
    • Phonetic Books:  El pájaro rojo, El girasol gigante and El chorrito
    • Poem: Los gemelos, Fiesta de Juguetes
    • Culture and language – ¿A qué hora te levantas?  Me levanto a las ___.
    • Mentor Text:  Un día de nieve
    • Vocabulary words:  la ventana (the window), la nieve (the snow), el desayuno (breakfast), el invierno (winter), doce (twelve), la cebra (the zebra), el bolsillo (the pocket), la barbera (the hair stylist)

WRITING:

The craft of revision:  Realistic Fiction

Writing stories with problems, solutions, beginning, middle and endings.

Wonderfully made, B-day, and lunch duty schedule:

(Tuesdays from 11:55 – 12:20)
Supervise students while they are having lunch, make sure they go out to recess when the bells rings, wipe down the tables)
** If we are celebrating wonderfully made and B-day the time to be at school will be 11:30 – 12:20 **
