My visual means that Satan knows who we are but shows us our sins, but God knows our sins but calls us by our names because he forgives us.
THEME- CONFLICT AND DOUBT
My visual is a gun because that is just one way conflict can affect people’s lives. But then we have to remember that even when those things happen, God will still be there for us.
My visual is a rainbow because every time I see a rainbow it reminds me of God’s covenant with us that He would never destroy the earth with a flood again.
My picture is about someone who is in a gang. The reason I chose this picture is because our family is thinking of maybe going to work in Guatemala and work with the gangs and work in the jails. We know missionaries their (the Vandykes) and we would go and work with them. I think that that is one calling that God is telling our family to do.
THEME- SLAVERY AND SALVATION
I chose this picture because it is part of a song that I really like called “Amazing Grace by: Chris Tomlin” and it reminds me that when Jesus died for us we were no longer slaves and now we are God’s.
THEME- SINAI LAW
My visual is a seat belt because when we are in a car that protects from harm, just like God’s commandments protect us. Because if we do not then harm will befall us because we did not use the protection that God gave us.
THEME- SENT TO THE PROMISED LAND
My visual is of blueprints. I chose that because whenever we build something we have to trust the people who are building that they are doing the right job. That is the same with God. We have to choose Him in everything and trust that He will do what is best for us.
THEME- SALUTE TO A KING
I chose this picture of money because of how we want everything the world has to offer which come down to one thing: money. Depending on how much money we have, that determines what we can and can’t have. But really all we need is God. God is worth more than all of the money in the world, and he is what we should focus on.
THEME- SYMBOL OF A LAMP
My visual is a fireplace because it reminds me of a roaring fire and how how even when there are just coals the fire is still burning and even though Israel sometimes looked like God was going to destroy them some of the Israelites were still alive so that the legacy lived on. And then when the fire is roaring it shows that the Israelites were thriving. That is why I chose this visual.
THEME- SOMETHING IS ROTTEN
I chose this visual because “add.a.lingua” is the Spanish program that I take. It represents that since I can speak Spanish really well, I think that God is going to use that talent to make a change in this world and to get some more non-believers to come to Christ.
THEME- SLIDE TO DESTRUCTION
That is also the reason that I chose the visual of an ear. I chose it because like I just said earlier, if we are sinning God will send people into our lives to put us back in track and we have to be watching and listening for that. We always have to watch out for signs of God.
THEME- A SAVIOR
The reason I chose this visual is because the verse (Luke 2:11) says that “Today in the city of David, a Savior has been born to you” and I chose it because it says that the Savior came who loved us so much that He would die for us so we could be saved and He could live with us eternally.
Our instrument was a rainstick. It was made out of a giant PVC pipe and nails and marbles, rice, and beans. We made it by drilling about 50 holes in the PVC pipe and sticking holes into all of them. Then we added the rice, beans, and marbles so that it would make different pitches. The way that it works is that you hold it upright and all of the rice, marbles, and beans fall to the bottom. As they make their way to the bottom, they hit the nails and make noise. Every item in there makes a different pitch. The challenge was that we changed our idea midway through so we had to work hard and hurry so that we could get it done in time. It is called the torture machine because it looks like a torture weapon.
