Egypt Project ~ Writing and Technology ~ Modern and Ancient

For our Modern Egyptian Technology exhibit, we made a slideshow, that talked about who developed technology, how it was used, and what was made with it. While making this slideshow, I learned that the Egyptians made… Obolisks, breath mints, and started the development of toothpaste! (They had lots of dental problems.) We made another slideshow too. It was about how the Egyptian revolution was affected by modern technology. Social Networking, computers, and cellphones. I learned how people used technology to fight against the government while making that slideshow. Our third exhibit for this section, was the pyramid in the bottom right hand corner of the picture. It was a small model of how pyramids were built by using ramps.

Modern and Ancient Egyptian Writing and Language is very interesting as well. For this section, our first exhibit was a timeline. We had all the different transitions from one language to another on the timeline. We showed how after a better script or language came out, it would probably replace the one they were using at the time. For our second exhibit, we made a matcher game. It’s the one in the middle of the picture. If you wanted to play, you had to touch the left wire to the question, and the right wire to the answer. If you got it right, the game would beep!
