Social Studies

  • We are continuing work on the Colonies PBL. This week we will be starting to use our research to create a “brand” for our colony. We will be developing advertising, as well.
  • I could use several parents from each class to come in and give feedback as students are preparing for their final presentations. The original date was Tuesday, February 5, but it will be pushed back. I’ll let you know the date asap. Please email me if you are interested!

English Specific Skill:

  • We are going to skip an ESS this week due to the amount of missed class and needing to catch up on Spelling and Social Studies.

Spelling: *Spelling test that was supposed to be last Friday (1/25) will be taking place Monday 2/4*. These are the new sorts for this week, test 2/8:

  • Yellow group: Sort 26, er, ear, eer words
  • Green group: Sort 16, open & close syllables, inflected endings
  • Blue group: Sort 25, Greek & Latin number prefixes
  • Brown group: Sort 43, Greek & Latin roots
