I do hold a single story because I was wondering if my birth family is from Africa because I have had many people asked me & my cousin, Abbie if were sister & if were adopted from Africa. I might be missing the story about my past & how my great great great grandparents are from Africa or they lived in the U.S.A. I have been missing that part of life. The danger of a single story is that people might think your one but your the complete opposite of what they thought.
