Nycole, Skylar and I were in a group for making a volcano. We created a shield volcano. We planned what we were going to do and created a poster. Next, we made the play-dough. We formed the play-dough into a gradual slope, because shield volcanoes have a very gradual decreasing angle. We created a side vent, and we made a crater with the bottom of a pop can. We painted the volcano, added red lava flowing down the sides, and bits of harder lava. We created a hot spring to the side of the volcano, and we used a red pipe cleaner to make the magma chamber. In the end, we had a landslide, lava flow, lava, a crater, a vent, a side vent, the pipe, the magma, the magma chamber, and a hot spring in our project.
