Word Problem

Bob has 5 x 10^6(five times ten to the sixth power) apples. How many apples does Bob have?

 

 

Answer:  The problem is a lot simpler than it looks it is really just 5 x 10 x 10 x 10 x 10 x 10 x 10. You multiply that out and get 5,000,000. Bob had 5,000,000 apples.
