PBL:

As an 8th grade class, we had the opportunity to learn more about persecution in different countries.  I, along with Lydia and Lily, studied the country of Somalia. There are many things happening there. did you know that Somalia is number 3 on the world watch list? One of the main terrorist’s groups is called Al-Shabab. When we searched up persecution in Somalia Al-Shabab showed up a lot. Al-Shabab did this; Al-Shabab did that. We started to look at the group. found out it is an Islamic terrorist group. 98.8% of the country is Islamic and Muslim culture. (Which I believe is the same thing). We gave personal examples as well to tie in with it all. I believe that our group did well in our presentation. There were some times where I thought we felt rushed to get something done. Overall, we had enough information. There are many things we still don’t know, but we covered pretty much the general “stuff”. Ex. what we can do to help…
