Last friday 5 grade went on a field trip to Van Raalte Farm to watch the Civil War Muster and to see people that look liked them in the past. We saw people reenactimg historical people like General Grant and Abraham Lincoln. They looked like they came from the Civil War, because they had lots of stuff that people in that time period would have: weapons, camps, and uniforms. Their guns were really loud. It is very cool to see people like that because you don’t see that every day. It was cool to experience what life was like back then through the Muster.
