Our assignment was to describe a particular place or thing and paint a word picture in our readers’ mind. How did I do?
The Hunger Games Arena is just waiting for the tributes to come for the all on all war. You see the Cornucopia with all the food and the tent on top of it. The sight of the other 23 tributes trying to kill each other with knives, swords, or bows. You can see the faces of the dead tributes in the sky each night, and it shows what district they are from. You can feel the wind blowing against your face and you can feel the tall, rough trees against your hands. The feeling of the tracker jacker stinger in you when it stings you.The sound of the Mockingjays chirping rings in your ears, and you can hear the other tributes running by, talking and killing each other. Everytime a tribute dies the cannon shoots. The smell of the smoke burning, or the broth cooking. Then the Hunger Games finish unexpectedly and you win. If you win, you will be praised by every district forever.
