How was your trip
My name is anna schaap I immigrated in 1924, the boat was called the new amsterdam I was only 8 when we left. We immigrated because we were poor and we wanted a better life it was a rough ride to america, we were in third class and we were really close to the boiler room I think it took 39 days. I liked to play marbles on the ship, we ran into a big storm the waves were really big and scary.
