The part in the book that got to me was when Kino killed the man and attacked Jauna. The reason why it stuck out for me is because the pearl turned him into an animal and made him do things he usually wouldn’t do. He normally was a nice man who wanted the best for his son and wanted to protect his son and his wife and have the best for them and he never tried to hurt other people. But then when he had the pearl he killed a man and attacked his wife who he usually tried to protect and he just did things he usually didn’t. I don’t think this changes my life very much but it will help me remember to no change the way I am when I really want something or when I get blessed with something big to not take it for granted. Kino got the pearl and then he started planning all these things he was going to do with it and started getting full of himself and it started changing him so much that he killed a man. I really don’t want to turn out the way he and just want to remember what I have and be thankful for it. Kino was still thankful for the pearl it’s just he quickly was changed by it.

If I could have anything I would probably get my own skate park in my back yard. I like to scooter and if I got a skate park I could get a lot better than I am right now. I could also use my bike and get really good at that. If I had my own skate park I could get so good that I could go into the X-games some day and even be the best scooter in the world and get sponsored and get a lot of money. I would be a rich person. Then I could by nice cars and a big house and a bigger skate park. With all my money I could do a lot of things. I could also get a really nice scooter. I met a guy who said he saw someone with a six-hundred dollar scooter. I could get a scooter like that or something nicer. My skate park would have a big pool and then off to the side right by that it would also have a half pipe with a quarter pipe of to the side so you could do transfers. There would also be a middle section with a box and some rails on it. It would be the biggest skate park in the world. I would want to get so good that I wouldn’t have to go to collage and I wouldn’t have to worry about home work after I graduated from high school. I would just be able to go to my skate park and hang with my skater friends. I think it would be a lot of fun to have my own skate park. I would have a lot of fun with it.

A lot of applications have been sent in to be on the first manned mission to Mars. Only two applicants will be accepted and they will have to be married because they will have to be able to work together. The people who get accepted will be squished into a space that is about the size of an R.V for over a year and are planned to be back in 2018. They will have to breath recycled air, eat dehydrated food and eve drink there own filtered urine. The people that die will be put in a freeze-dried body bag but the people that survive will have to re-enter that atmosphere at 8.8 miles per second. The president of the Paragon Space Development Corp. said, “So far, we haven’t come up with any show-stoppers so that exciting!” This program, Paragon Space Development, was started in 2001 and it’s goal is to send a man and a woman who are married into space for 501 day journey around Mars and back to Earth. The next opportunity wont come around until 2031. The mission of the project is to re-inspire congress and the public in long space travel and that humans can actually do it. They will not enter the atmosphere or touch the ground because that would require a lot of extra work and supplies so they will just go around it. The crew will stay in the shuttle the whole time to simplify things. All the things they plan to use to keep them alive is possible, but will be very hard to do.

I think that sending people to mars would be a really big step for humans. I don’t think they should send them though if there is a high possibility of them dieing. But I think if they can do it safely it would be a really cool thing.

In Saudi Arabia people are outraging about a Islamist Preacher that killed his five year old daughter. Lama Al-Gahmdi was sent to the hospital because she had burns, bruises, broken ribs, and a crushed skull. She dater later seven months later. Her mother and some people in high places in Saudi Arabia accuse her father for killing her. “My dear child is dead, and all I want now is justice so I can close my eyes and know she didn’t die in vain,” the mother, Syeda Mohammed Ali told the CNN reporters. “She was brutally tortured in the most shocking ways.” Fayhan Al-Gahamdi is a preacher on salvation and is popular in some place with a broadcast tv sermon on small channels. Some people say he has to pay blood money and others say that he has been released from jail. He has really been in prison for eight months and has charged for actions that led to her death. The next hearing will be in about two weeks. There is a lawyer to assist Lama’s mom. The Human Rights Commission says this is not only and assault against Lama but every like Saudi girl. The father eventually confessed to the abuse of his little daughter. They divorced before he tortured her and was remarried. They have two children together and his new wife is thinking about taking them away from him. People say there are laws needed to get passed to protect women and children.

Who is the Holy Spirit?

The Holy Spirit is part of the trinity just like Jesus and God. The Holy Spirit doesn’t talk to us in words though. He will work in are hearts. He will give us the power to understand the Bible when we read it so we know what God is trying to tell us.

 

 

How has the Holy Spirit worked in my life?

 

 

The holy spirit has worked in my life by getting me through hard times and give me more self control. When I was little I didn’t know when the right time was for things and when it was a bad time to goof around and I didn’t know where the line was that well. Now I know more how to control myself and when to do things like laugh and talk. Christian and I also will mess with some of Mrs. Roskamps things but I know now when it is too far and when she will get mad. The Holy Spirit has also helped me get passed hard times by just reminding me to pray and letting me know that it will not last forever and will be over soon.

For my picture I drew a dove and a flame. I drew the dove because it symbolizes when people got baptized and the holy spirit coming down from heaven to bless them. I drew the flame because a Pentecost the the Holy Spirit filled the whole room in the form of fire and everyone started speaking in different tongs and it shows God’s power.

We wrote on a piece of paper someone who died and then we put something about them on the back and then shared. I did my dog because my dog died and she was really good at jumping and she could also catch anything. She was really fast and would chase a lot of things.

We the reason we did this is because it is the day of the dead and people in mexico celebrate this because  they want to remember the people that have died.

I think that this was something good to do but I don’t think it would be something I would want to celebrate every year because I guess it’s not really a big holiday because once you remember them theres not much you can do.
