Eggsperiment

In Science class, we put an egg in vinegar and left it there over the weekend (48 hours). When we came back on Monday, the egg had gotten way bigger, and the shell was completely gone. When we took it out of the cup, it was squishy and transparent. Then, we took a liquid of our choice (we were divided into groups, seven to be exact and we each had our own eggs) and put it in and left it there for about 24 hours. When we came back the next day, ours had developed a thin layer of white stuff all over it (our liquid was dish soap). This lesson connects with cells, because the egg determined what came in and what came out, helping us learn about diffusion.
