Picture Book Reflection

February24

This past week we presented out books to some kids from our school. I have been working on my book for a while and thought that the message was pretty good. So I read my book to a few kids and after a couple I learned to read with enthusiasm but not to much because they will think you are a creepy weird 7th grader… I learned that the hard way. Make sure you are asking them questions to get them connected and excited about the book. If you draw pictures make sure they are colorful and interesting to catch the readers eye. I realized that when I used cool words that were not heard that often they looked interested cause it brought a different picture in you mind.

Exapmles:

Normal: The lady walked outside.

Fun:  The tall, old lady wobbled outside to the cold winter winds of Michigan.
