imagesThis theme is About the savior. It’s about how Jesus was trying teach us grace and forgiveness. But it came at a cost, that cost was death. But that lead to something greater, the resurrection, the conquering of sin, death, and the grave. This picture shows how Jesus paid the price for us so we don’t have to die for our sins. He is the savior, and not even sin can tempt him.

This theme is about the names of the bible. There are many names in the bible but not a lot of people know what they really mean. The name Evan means YHWH is gracious, which means God is gracious. This theme is about learning all the names of the bible and what they mean. This visual fits because my name is Evan and I think this picture is very cool, because it fits with me. This theme means a lot to me, I think it is cool to learn about what the names of the bible mean.

This theme is about the covenants that God made with Israel. There are two kinds of covenants, conditional, and unconditional. A conditional covenant is if you do this, then this will happen. A unconditional covenant is even if we break our side of the covenant, God will still keep his promise. This theme means that God will love us no matter what we do, or how much me sin, because he will always forgive us. No matter what we do.

This theme is about conflict and doubt. Sometime we doubt God, and in a figure of speech, fight him. Just like how Jacob fought the angle. This picture shows that we can try to fight God, but we can’t win. And no matter how much we might hate God, he will always love us. In the end, Jacob lost, he got taken over by satan, but the angel/God turned him back.

This theme is about the callings of God to the prophets. It’s kind of like basketball. Should you take the shot, or shouldn’t you. Should you listen to God calling you, or not. This picture was from our basketball season, we had to make a lot of decisions, most would put the game on the line. The prophets had to do the same, not play basketball, but make decisions to do what God said and to follow him. But instead of putting the game on the line, sometimes, it would mean putting their life or a family member’s life on the line.

This theme is about how God sent the Israelites to the Promised Land. This picture is of ZCS, I switched schools to come here in 6th grade. This place is where I truly met God. Israel trusts God, and when they get to the promised land, God says “Chose this day whom you will follow.” And they chose God. It’s kind of like how I had to trust that my parents were making the right decision to make me come here. I also had to trust God, because my parents felt called by God to make me go to ZCS. That statement also fits with the calling of God theme.

This theme is about what the Israelites do when Moses is up on Mt. Sini. Well Moses was up on Mt. Sini, Aaron leads Israel to give him all of their jewelry. With that, he make an Golden calf that they all worship. Well Moses came down and liquefied the calf and made them all drink it because they were disobeying God.This picture is of my basketball, I like basketball a lot. Not enough to worship it though. Sometimes basketball gets in the way of God for me. So I try to make time for God, you should always make time for reading the bible, or spending time with God.

This theme is about they symbol of God. God is like a candle in the darkness, the light in the darkness of the world. This picture is of a candle in the darkness, it is the symbol of God, no matter how much sin and darkness, he will always shine through it. No matter how far away he might seem, he’s still there.
