i had a grate summer, for the most part. we started out by taking a 3 week trip out west. it was awesome. we got to see the big arches in arches national park, the bison in Yellowstone, and the lizards in Utah. it was over all fun. after that we had 2 weaks of down time. i liked to sleep in. i also had lots of fun playing basketball with my family. after that, we went to camp roger. my mom worked as the special foods coordinator. i even had a job of my one working the nature center! i over all had a great summer.

  2. Themes of the Old Testament

    December 19, 2018 by gsprick24

I think names are important because it explains somebody’s personality or who they are. For example the name Joshua means Jehovah saves this is the perfect name for the one who brought the Israelites out of the desert and into the promised land. My visual is a town filled with roman soldiers. Because my name means “body of troops in a fortress” i learned a lot during this project. One of them is that god gave certain names to certain people. If god saw them to be loving then he wood give them a name that means “loving”.

I think that everybody has Conflicts and Doubts. BUT this doesn’t make you a bad christian. we all are human we all make mistakes. We all have times in our lives that we struggle or struggling through. An example of a man in Doubt is Jacob. He struggled Thru lots of things in his life. His mean brother’s, Pharaoh throwing him into a pit, he went thru a lot but god made him second in command and ended up saving his family from starvation. My picture is 2 crossed swords. In life, we have conflict with one another. And we end up fighting. I learned that even though we have Conflicts and Doubts, we are not bad Christians.

I think that deals are important because it marks a start of a promise. God made a deal (Covenant) with all mankind. “if you take care of the world and everything in it, then i will bless you and take care of you.” this is one of 2 kinds of Covenants: Conditional and unconditional. A example of a Conditional Covenant Would be: “if you do this…. Then i will do this….”. This is demonstrated in the Covenant i just mentioned. The other kind, unconditional, is when person will keep his/her side of the Covenant no matter what. An example would be when god made a Covenant with the Israelite’s in Deuteronomy. “I will be your god and you will be my people.” My visual is a picture of people shaking hands. In our world today, shaking hands is a symbol of making a deal. So that is why i chose this picture. I learned that deals are very important because it marks the start or end of a promise.

I think that slavery and salvation are important in the bible because it explains how god loves and saves his people. We found 2 grate examples in the bible: Joseph, and Moses. Joseph’s story is being sold into slavery as a kid, thrown into prison, and became second in command in Egypt and ends up saving his family from a famman! Moses’s story is being born into a Israelite family, becoming a prince, running away, and taking the Israelite’s out of Egypt! In these stories, other people intended to harm Jacob and Moses, but god used it for good. Also, in these stories god demonstrates how he is a faithful, unchanging and present god. he is also the same today. My visual is cuffed hands because slaves, in bible times, wore cuffs around their hands. I learned that god can show up anywhere weather it is in bed, or when you are on a roller coaster.

  3. A Boston Massacre Report

    March 29, 2017 by gsprick24

Bang! A shot rang out! This shot marked the beginning of the great Boston Massacre. March 5 1770 was a nite that the americans were going to protest! The nite that made american history! March 5 1770. The crowd of americans were shouting at the British:”fire if you dare, you lobster scoundrels! You bloody backs! You red cots! Fire if you dare!“ the British soldiers were defending themselves with their bayonets, attached to the front of their muskets.
