The israelites started to worship baal the Ahab king they were not following God’s way anymore. Then God sent Elijah to prove that God is YHWH and stop the israelites from worshiping idols. Elijah told them that whoevers God is real would lite an ox on fire that was on an alter. The israelites prayed to their God for three days and nothing happend. Then Elijah went up to the altar and prayed to God and then the ox caught on fire. My symbol is an idol because the israelites stopped worshiping God and worshipped idols. I think that people tend to put other things before God like fame or money. People never even realise that they put other things before God until they think about it.
