How would I feel if I had to be a refuge?

If I had to be a refuge, I would be devastated! If I had to leave my home,maybe my family and everything I had,  I would be devastated as well as sad. I might have to leave my family my friends and school just because people were treating me unfairly. It could even be that they were persecuting me for my belief in Jesus!Talk about unfair. I would be so mad  at these people making me flee.

 

How does this make you appreciate what Jesus has done for you even more?

I already really appreciate Jesus for dying on the cross for me. What I didn’t know in detail is that Jesus suffered his whole life for me, so I could be saved. What I didn’t know is that Jesus had to flee for his life because there was people all over the country trying to kill him or get rid of him. Jesus went to a foreign country because people wanted to kill him. And he was just a baby! It’s one thing to be a adult fleeing his who life because he was being treated unfairly, it’s another thing to be a baby refuge who can’t even control his own movements not to mention hiding and running. it would be awful! I appreciate what Jesus did for me now even more when I found out that he suffered his whole life and was even a refuge for me, a sinful awful person saving.

Some of the Christian themes in the Horse and His Boy are … Mercy. Aslan (representing Jesus) had shown mercy to Rabadash. Even when Rabadash kept saying bad things and not repenting from all the bad thing he had sone, Aslan had shown mercy to him. Finally, he was turned into a donkey because Aslan had to do that. But still Aslan gave him another chance.  After that however, he would be a donkey forever. That is just like how we get lots of chances from God, but will go to hell if we give them all up.

Another Christian theme in the horse in his boy is … the timing. In a previous book, the lion the witch and the wardrobe Aslan was killed on the stone table then came to life again and in this book the people of Narnia are waiting for Aslan’s return in the last battle. That is just like us. Jesus already died on the cross and came to life again but we are waiting for his return in the second coming.
