Stoning of Stephen

Stephen was a man that was full of faith and the Church chose him and other men to be leaders among the people. So the Apostles laid their hands on Stephen and the others and they prayed over them. So these men began leading and spreading the word of God and the word spread rapidly, like wildfire, and a great number of priests became obedient to the Lord and his great word. Stephen was doing great things in the world, he was full of Gods power and grace, and among the people, he performed great signs and wonders. Problems arose however, from members of the Synagogue of the Freedmen. There were Jews of Cyrene and Alexandria and also the Provinces of Asia and Cilicia that began to argue with Stephen. They began to tell men to say that they had heard Stephen blaspheming against Moses and against God. They seized Stephen and brought him upon a false cour, Stephen spoke about Joseph and he called them stiff necked people. The Sanhedrin were furious when they heard this and they dragged him out of the city and began to stone him.
