My 8th Grade Year

Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew there strength. They will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not be faint.

We just finished reading the pearl and our teacher gave us a few questions to ask. We had to answer then on our blogs so here they are… I think that the thing that stands out to me from this book would be that even through Kino was hearing the ‘song of evil’ he still wanted to […]

For our eighth grade shadow day I went to the Holland Cakery! It was a ton of fun! I learned a lot about what you have to do in a bakery. I was not allowed to do much because of the all of the laws about those kind of things. I think that I had a ton […]

If I could have anything…

If I could have anything I would have a life time supply of cupcake/cake decorating supplies. There would be frosting, sprinkles, piping tips, and anything else that would help make cute cupcakes and cakes. I would want this because then I could decorate anything that I wanted and try to do a bunch of cool designs and […]

Our Project World Senate Session

In our senate session I enjoyed being able to debate about what you thought was best and what you didn’t agree on. It frustrated me when people made amendments just for fun and didn’t take the senate session seriously. I found it frustrating when people votes ‘no’ just to vote no and for no other reason. I […]

Water Erosion Project

In this project we made 3D models of what would happen to a landscape and were each assigned a type of erosion. Our erosion was water. Water can change a landscape dramatically. It can move sediment and cut a gorge into the land. It can cut a cliff into the ocean and make flood plains.

Comparing Governments

When I learned that Zimbabwe has not had an election for president December 31, 1987 and that there is one coming up this year I was surprised. I think that it is crazy not to have any elections for that long and it seems a bit like a monarchy.  I feel like since I learned this my perspective has changed. I am releasing how […]

In this project I didn’t do a good job of looking up. I looked down at my paper the whole time and said “um” a few times. I think I did okay with speaking up but I didn’t do a very good job on this project, at least in my mind.
