The smaller the ball the faster it will go. Gravity is what pulls the ball down the ramp. Gravity is a force that pulls. The greater the angle the more acceleration and the more acceleration makes it go faster.
A bigger ball goes faster but takes longer to get to its maximum speed. It depends on the weight of the ball and if the ball is heavy it will go faster. And if the ball is lighter it will go slower. A ramp can either be low to the ground or up higher which if the ramp is up high the ball will go faster. If the ball is bumpy it will have friction and won’t move fast at all.
Speed=the rate at which someone or something is able to move or operate.Force=the rate at which someone or something is able to move or operate.
Acceleration=increase in the rate or speed of something.
Gravity=the force that attracts a body toward the center of the earth, or toward any other physical body having mass. For most purposes Newton’s laws of gravity apply, with minor modifications to take the general theory of relativity into account.
Weight=a body’s relative mass or the quantity of matter contained by it, giving rise to a downward force; the heaviness of a person or thing. |
Did you know that the smaller the ball the shorter time it takes to go to the end of the ramp. |
A marble going down a ramp is like sledding down a hill. One day at school I was sledding on the hill and I noticed that I was going down a ramp just like a ball on a ramp. |

Magnetism
Have you ever tried to connect magnets and they don’t stick? Well that’s because you are trying to connect either the two north poles or the two south poles. That is called a MAGNETIC POLE. A MAGNETIC FIELD is created when current flows in a wire. A MAGNETIC FIELD is invisible. MAGNETIC ATTRACTION is a force that draws metal like steel and iron towards the magnet. ELECTROMAGNET: If you wrap a wire around a steel nail maybe 20 times and take both sides of the wire and connect it to a battery the nail can pick up a few paper clips. |
Magnetic attraction-a force that makes an object connect to a magnet.Magnetic field-a magnetic field is space around a magnet that is invisible.
Magnetic pole-a magnetic pole is a place on a magnet where the magnetic effect is the strongest.
Electromagnet-a magnet made when electricity flows through a wire wrapped around soft iron. |
Did you know that if you put a magnet in fire it will lose its magnetic abilities? |
I got to take apart a remote control car and use the motor to make a pinball machine. The motor is placed on top of a clay brain. Every time the ball goes in the brain the motor spins. |

Things That Attract Things That Don’t Attract
Steel Zinc Cobalt Cloth Wood Glass
Iron Copper Tungsten Paper Clay Rubber
Metal Bronze Mercury Plastic Dirt Grass
An object is usually at rest unless an unexpected force is forced upon it. For example if you kick a huge rock it stays in the same spot. If you kick a soft ball it moves. That means that if you kick something heavy it stays and light things move. |

Did you know that The combined weight of 10 cars is 14000 pounds. |
One day at my house I was riding my ripstick and I hit a rock my ripstik stayed there but I fell into the grass. That means that thing that are in motion stay in motion. |

seconed law
Force = Mass x Acceleration is a formula. this formula is the creation of force. Newton’s second law of motion describes the relationship between an object’s mass and the amount of force needed to accelerate.F=MxA

did you know f=mxa is just like math. f=mxa is a multiplication problem. |
I learned about newtons 2nd law in school. It is my favorite. |
third law |
A force is exerted by one object on another object. In other words, every force involves the interaction of the first object. The two forces are equal in strength and oriented in two objects. When one object exerts a force on a second object, the second object also exerts a force on the opposite directions. Action and Reaction
Inertia an analogous property of a forceForce strength; energy; power; intensity:
a personality of great force.
Mass.pertaining to, involving, or affecting a large number of people:
mass unemployment; mass migrations; mass murder.
Acceleration Mechanics. the time rate of change of velocity with respect to magnitude or direction; the derivative of velocity with respect to time.
Action an exertion of power or force.
Motion the action or process of moving or of changing place or position; movement.

Reaction a reverse movement or tendency; an action in a reverse direction or manner. |
when a opected is at rest it will stay at rest entella a force acts upon it |
