Names- 

I feel like God gave us all names because it makes us who we are. There are so many different names and meanings.  If someone else has the same name as you, they wouldn’t be the same person because everyone is different and when you have a name I feel like it makes our personalities. El means powerful God, Yahweh means the relationship between us and God, Characters Names lad purpose (Abraham father of many). I learned that since we have our own names it makes us who we are.

 

 

Call-

I feel like in a different way we are called to follow God’s plan for our lives even if it is outside of our comfort zones. God called out to Abraham to follow his lead to another land. Even if it is outside of our comfort zone we should still follow God’s plan because it is the right thing to do because if we don’t then it is like we are sinning even more than we already do. I learned that you should try things even if it is outside of your comfort zone. Another thing I learned was that you should always follow God’s plan even if he is calling you to do something that will make you uncomfortable.

 

 

 

 

Something is Rotten-

People didn’t change after they went to Mount Carmel and some people might change after they saw God through or in you. The kingdom was divided. Israel is northern on losing kings after kings. Ahab at Mount Carmel, God sent Elijah. I learned that some people didn’t change after they went to Mount Carmel. I also learned that Israel was losing kings one after another.

Symbol Of A Lamp-

David was a man after own God’s heart. His line went forever through Jesus. God promised that his Lamp will never go out through the line of David. I learned that God’s light will ever go out and that it never went out through Davids line. Another thing that I learned was that David was a man after God’s own heart.

 

 

Slide To Destruction-

Israel- Bail was worshiped and Assyrians scattered them. Judah- broke covenants and worshiped Idols. God’s prophets tried to warn Judah but he didn’t listen to them. I learned that even sometimes Judah didn’t listen to his prophets. I also learned that Bail was worshiped and that Assyrians scattered them.

 

 

Conflict/ Doubt-

God knows that we will struggle and we doubt. It doesn’t make us bad Christians, he is faithful even if we aren’t. Israel means struggles with God. Sometimes I doubt when I am trusting in God because I don’t know what is going to happen. I learned that even though we do doubt it doesn’t make us bad Christians. I also learned that Israel means struggles with God.

 

 

 

Covenant-

Obey-  If you obey then you get a blessing but if you disobey then there will be consequences. Conditional- If you do then I do, both meet requirements. Unconditional- I will do this no matter what. It is like arguments between two parties. I learned that there will be consequences if you don’t obey but if you do then you get a blessing. I also learned that for unconditional is like two parties in an argument.

 

 

 

Slavery/ Salvation-

People intended harm to other people. God is “ I am who I am” God is faithful, unchanging, and he is also present today. Joseph was sold into slavery yet he stilled helped his family survive the famine. Moses was born in slavery but he still leads Israel out of Egypt. I learned that some people tried to harm other people on purpose for maybe no reason. I also learned how people in the bible would do whatever they could to help their family even if they were in slavery.
