The Declaration of Independence was founded in 1776.  The main founders were Richard Henry Lee,  George Washington,  Thomas Jefferson and Thomas Pain. It was written in Phil. in the Independence hall. They did it to get away from Britian totaly. George W. was thinking of something way grater than this…… reuniting the colonies.
