Design Project (What if?)

On Tuesday March 3 me and my grade split into design groups and my group went to Haworth. We learned about designing in the real world. Then we went to the library and learned that our City Hall Government wants a park downtown in Heritage Square, and they want it to include water. We made affinities and matrixes. Then on March 11 we went to Disher Design to learn about brainstorming. Our studio groups split into smaller groups and we developed a plan and we presented it to our clients, Mr. Klunder and Mrs. DeRoo. They told us what were good ideas and what were bad ideas. After they left we used there ideas and we made a “blueprint,” we drew Heritage Square and added the things we thought should go in there. The next day we made mock-ups of what we think it should look like. We presented it to the class and we voted on one of the 4 mock-ups. Whoever won got to present there mock-up at our open house. We had all of our family and friends come to watch so they could know what we had been doing the past few weeks. Everyone was very impressed on how much we did and what we acomplished!
