Reminders & Announcements:

  • Field Trip to John Ball Zoo: May 24 we are heading as a grade to John Ball Zoo! We would really appreciate some parents to walk with groups of kids through the zoo. The more parents, the smaller the groups… and that’s really nice! 🙂 We are not able to find busses. Turns out that’s a very popular field trip day! Please use this SignUp Genius if you’re able to help that day! We’d like to keep this a special thing for 1st graders and ask that younger siblings do not come along this time. We’ll leave school shortly after 9:00 and be at the zoo until 11:30ish. Then head to Timber Town/Huizenga Park. We plan to get back to school about 1:30ish. There is a small fee for parents to enter the zoo, but we won’t know how much until we have a final count of chaperones and know how many of the parents helping have a membership and can get in free. Thank you!
  • MAP Growth: Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning our students will participate in the final round of MAP Growth this school year. We’re eager to see how much they’ve grown! Please be sure to pack a water bottle and a healthy snack and lunch that day!
  • Lunch Helper Tuesday, May 21: Maestra Rodriguez and I have one more immersion teacher meeting on Tuesday, May 21 and we’re looking for a parent (with younger siblings if necessary) to help 1st graders get their hot lunches and eat lunch with our class please. The time frame would be 12:15-12:50. Please let us know if you are available to help. Thank you!
  • Car Line: If your family uses Door I/Preschool Parking Lot/Yellow door, please follow the link for information about routines and expectations during pick up/drop off. Car Line – Email For Parents – April 16, 2024
