Reflections on Romans 10:9-14

New International Version (NIV)
9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
11 As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.”
12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him,
13 For, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?

It is not enough to profess with your mouth, one need’s to “go” and profess your faith. For example, make profession of faith in Church. This does not mean we just live it out but not believe it in our heart we still need to do that that. How can we ask Jesus to come into our hearts but don’t truly believe in him?

I think that in verse 11 the bible is saying that whoever truly believes in Jesus will never be shamed by anyone about their faith in Christ. It also says that there is no difference between Jew and Gentile and I
think we need to take this in the modern way like not judging people by their religion race or appearance.

For verses 13 and 14 the bible tells us we can call on tell name of the lord and we will be saved but the people who did not really believe in him will not be saved. Then tells us that need to tell every one about jesus it is their fault if they chose to reject Christ and he says to us we need to tell the world about Christ.
