Africa

My impression on Africa has changed a lot. When class started, most of what I knew was from movies and being part of my brother-in-law’s visual aid for his world cultures project from Uganda. Before, most of what I thought of was their animals and stuff. Now, what I think about is how hard they have it there. It would stink to have to live there. No internet, no cellphones, barely any education, bad health and no medication, and last but not least, barely an food or water. You live in a hut, spending your time working all day in the hot sun with barely any reward. Compared to their lives, are lives are amazing. What do we have? Food every meal, money, water, phones, clothes, health, and a nice house. What do they have? Maybe a dollar a day, and sometimes if your lucky, food once a day for a week. And whats the food? Pizza? Steak? No, its food that gets old after the first time eating it, and not to mention all that food is already not very good. When we wake up in the morning, we have a bunch of clothes to pick out, with different brands to suit the different weather. They have maybe 2 outfits. And one type of weather. Hot. In the summer we have pools. They have dirty ponds that they bath in and get their water from.

Noah I agree how people do have bad lives in stuff that is true. Still some people do have successful comfortable lives. I also agree with you and the fact we are ungrateful for all our stuff well they have hardly anything.
