If I get all A’s but do not have love, I am only a smart student 2 If I have the gift of building and can create things big and small, and if I have millions of dollars, but do not have love, I am only a wealthy man with a greedy heart. 3 If I give money to charity and food to the needy ,but do not have love, I gain nothing.
4 Love is helpful, love is good. It does not hate, it does not bully, it is not evil. 5 Love does not put down others , it is not mean , it is not hurtful, it keeps no record of sin. 6 Love does not delight in sinning but rejoices with kindness.7 Love always helps, always listens, always cares, always is kind.
8 Love never leaves. But where there are predictions, they will cease; where there is gossiper, they will be stopped; where there is hurting, it will stop.9 For we know only a small part and predict only a small part, 10 but when completeness comes what is only a small will disappear.
11 When I was child I acted like a child , I talked like a child. When I became a man, I stopped being like a child 12 For now we run around blind ; then we shall run around eyes open. Now I know only a little; then I shall know completely, even as I am completely know.
13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
