Invictus Response

Mandela and Francois Pinaar

This relationship changed and evolved a lot. At first when they didn’t know each other Francois didn’t like the fact that Mandela was the president, and yet throughout the movie their relationship grew stronger. When they first meet Mandela asked him how he leads, he says he leads by example. Which they both lead that way, and they seemed to understand each other. Shortly after the team understood what was going on they started to trust Mandela more and more. At the end of the movie when they won the world cup and shook hands with all of the players, their relationship had blossomed.

This represents post apartheid because the whites originally distrusted and oppressed the blacks but in the end they were all one.
