Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy Name.

This is important to me because it we don’t realize how important God is and how mighty he is he has so many names like Alpha omega beginning and end messiah redeemer my savior and friend prince of piece. And we should lift our lives to him and love him and see that he is mighty and honor his name and we shouldn’t take him for granite.

Africa Entry Event

On Friday everyone in the grade took a card from a normal card deck we all sat down and our teacher told all the card numbers that are red have fresh water or another example all the people that are number 4-6 are all the houses that live by the sewer. He said that if you are a 7-king  you didn’t live past the age of 54, Thats really young i mean if someone died in the USA that was 54 we would say wow they were really young. Also he said the 3 of diamonds stand up and the person stood up and our teacher said 1 in 100,000 people in Africa has a computer. I also learned that not everybody in Africa is poor I mean there could be millionaires living in Africa anywhere. I Also learned that the are more then just one race in Africa I mean we all say that everybody from Africa is Black but thats not true there all different kinds of races from Africa. What I would like to learn more about are the history and what what happened to all the animals in Africa. Or if we could help the population grow again. If we could help or prevent the population of people diagnosed with AIDS or HIV go down more.

7B Camp Reflection 2014

Who am I?

John 15:15 “I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his masters business. Instead I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made know to you.” I like this verse because its saying why be just a servant of the Lord when you can take time and be friends. Make a friendship with him. I could try that, try and spend a few more minutes with him and start a friendship of a life time.

Who are We?

1 John 1:7 “ But If we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his son, purifies us all from sin.” I like this verse because it says If we work together as a community for God, we could have a better and stronger bond with God.

Who is He?

So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. I like this verse because It says that don’t worry about tomorrow, each day has troubles of its own so don’t worry. Don’t freak out or become stressed about something. Come to the Lord and he will help you. Again don’t worry.

I had a lot of fun on that day. I had an good time with friends and with God. I would not regret that day at all. I was probably one of the best days of my life it was an awesome experience.

Science

We had to experiment on some different objects to find the density of the object, if it would sink or float. We numbered the objects 1- 13 on what was the highest density to the lowest density. 1. Bolt 2. Granite 3. Marble 4. basalt 5. water. Anything else that is is below the density of l ml of water will float. Some examples of this are, a cork, a wood block, a pencil, a plastic cube and many more. One way that and object that is the same size but can have a different density determines on what the minerals are in the object like a wood ball and a steel ball. A has less density then water (1 ml) and a steel ball has more density causing it to sink.

Picture Book

I would say my favorite part about this process is probably the sharing part. The only thing I liked was reading it too the kids because I like to see if they like the book or not if it will make them smile or what their reaction would be. I was frustrated and stressed because i got  little behing on pages and it took me 2 hours to do spread. So I was feeling a little stressed.

Chapel

I think Tim inspired me that no matter what happens we shouldn’t give up on God. I mean if I were Tim I would be petty mad at God. But Tim still loves God. I get frustrated at God sometimes but this has made me realize why should I be frustrated with him if other people in the world like tim are going through a really difficult time then I shouldn’t be frustrated with God. Tim was saying With God I am still alive. It made me think of my favorite bible verse with God all things are possible. I liked the song Oceans because Its say “When oceans rise I keep my eyes above the waves, my soul will rest in you embrace for I am yours and you are mine” when its hard in life, when oceans rise, I keep my eyes on you and follow you, keep my eyes above the waves. And God is with me and I am with him , My soul will rest in your embrace for I am yours and you are mine. Tim just really inspired me to not complain with God because h has done so much for us.

Immigration Stories

Today I heard a story from a lady named Catherine Namwezi. We asked her a few questions, one of them was why did you come to U.S.A. She said that she came here for the education from Hope collage. we also asked her what was her favorite part of USA she told us that she liked the good education. We asked her what she missed the most about Uganda she told us she missed the food and the weather. She didn’t like the snow very much she was really use the the hot weather she told us she had two seasons the dry season and the wet season she said she had the dry season for about five to six months and the wet season for about six to seven months. She also told us that Uganda was divided into different kingdoms and each kingdom had a different culture and different language she said there are over 40 different languages in the USA the main two languages are Swahili and English. She also told us that the main religions were christianity and islam. She told us that they have the best mangos bananas pineapples and avocados  There are also 1,061 different types of birds. Some of the main exports they have are fish, tea, coffee, tabaco cotton, corn, beans, and sesame. I really appreciate the awesome story she told us! thanks so much for coming to ZCS and sharing that story with us!

Reflection on Romans 10:9-14

Its talking about that God DID raise Jesus from the dead and that who ever believes that he raised him from the dead will be saved. Last year i professed my faith to God. I was really nervous I thought that I was going to just go mute I thought I wasn’t going to be able to do it in front of all those people. If you didn’t know already I am very stage fright. I don’t like talking infront of a lot of people. I just get very nervous and panic. But that day, that day something was different. It felt like I could do anything. It felt like my stage fright just vanished. That day the holy spirit was in me. I professed my faith and wasn’t nervous at all. I knew that God was saying “you can do all things through  christ who gives you strength” so like I didn’t get stage fright. It was really cool
