Lately, we have bee working really hard on our design project. We have the privilege to design a park on the corner of Mail and Elm street, in Zeeland Michigan. We have been working with the town maneger and a few board members. We started our journey by going to other design studios to see how they do it I got to go o J.C.I witch is a design studio that creates and designs cars. We learned about the process and the creation of new things and new cars. After that we ventured to the library where we met our clients and figures out what they wanted in the new park. Then we started our brainstorming process we started by reading the project brief that they gave us and we narrowed the two paper brief into a couple of impotent things that we needed to include in the park. We created an affinity to figure out some key questions that we wanted to look in to a little more. After that we broke down into groups of two or three and we made a keynote on each question that we needed to do more research on. We got some good ideas and it was very fun just to let your mind explode and create crazy ideas, knowing that they would be almost impossible to create. Then we had the chance to go out and do some research on what other people in the town and neighborhood liked and disliked in a park.We did door to door surveys, Interviews in the library and on the street and secondary research. I got to do door to door surveys, it was interesting to see the difference in the answers due to differences in ages. Then we gathered up all of our data and put it in a graph to see what other people thought. Finally we went back to J.C.I to brainstorm Ideas that might actually work, then we went back to our classes to see what ideas would be actually possible and likely to create. We voted on those ideas and then we made blue prints of what we personally thought that this space might look like. Then our client came in to check out what and how we were doing. They critiqued us on what we were doing right and what might not work out because of the space and the requirements. We had a really great time creating and designing a park
