Theme Writing

Psalms 19:1-4 The heavens declare the glory of God;

the skies proclaim the works of his hands.

Day after day they pour forth speech;

night after night they revel knowledge.

There is no speech, they use no words;

no sound is heard from them.

Yet there voice goes out to all the earth,

there works to the end of the world.

In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun.

At the end of my 7th grade year, my whole class went to camp roger to pick out our theme for the whole school. While we where at camp we did some really fun stuff like zip lining and going on a high ropes course. And we also did some serious stuff to help us pick out a good verse, and be good leaders. Camp Roger was amazing, and almost everyone had a great time. Most importantly we worked on being good leaders. I feel as though our grade got a lot out of that trip. As an 8th grader this year I am going to try to use our theme, “Shout Silently” in school and in the world around me.

I believe that as 8th graders and leaders of our school we should be good roll models for the younger grades. There are so many ways that I can be a good leader and be a servant. Here are a couple of thing that I can do. The first task I came up with was picking up trash around the school. This could help the school to stay cleaner and help the janitors and teachers to have less work. The second idea I came up with was making sure to include everyone no matter what, so no one is left out. The third way I came up with was to say “Hi” to the younger grades, so they’re not too scared of us. And the last thing I came up with was to help someone with something that they are struggling with. All these thing could improve our school and carry out our theme.

I feel like it is our duty as Christians to be good models. Here are a few of the ideas that I came up with so I can be a better Christian and use our theme, “Shout Silently”. The first idea I came up with was to offer to clean up the kitchen without being asked. The second idea I came up with was to clean up random things around my house so my mom has less things to do. The third thing I came up with was to give a compliment to someone that I don’t always get along with. And the last thing I came up with was to help someone ride at my neighbor’s barn without complaining. These are only a few of the ways that I can live out our theme and be a good roll model.

As an 8th grader this year I am going to try to use our theme, “Shout Silently” in school and in the world around me. My ideas are just little things that I can do. I would love to be a better Christian and a better roll model. I’m going to try to do all the things on this paper throughout this year, and promote our awesome theme.
