Pythagorean theory is a very helpful tool in life and I never really knew how much help it is. What it does, is it makes you not need one of those carpenter right angle square makers. It is probably easier to use that right angle thing but if you don’t have one then you can use the Pythagorean theory. So lets go with a boxing arena and how that is square. Say I was making it for tomorrow’s night fight and I wanted to make it perfect rectangle just to be cool. So I start out with a 15 inch side and then another 13 inch side so now I have 2 sides but I don’t know if it a right angle. So I take 15 inches squared plus 13 inches squared and see what I get, Whatever I get that should be the total distance from corner to corner. So my calculator says that it is 394 inches from corner to corner. But we have to do the square root of that which is 19.84 so then there would be a nice right angle. This is very helpful thing that you don’t need much for.
