READING:
We will begin our “Book It” program, which runs October through March. In partnership with Pizza Hut students are encouraged to read for 10 – 15 minutes each day at home. If they do, they color in that day on the calendar that I will send home. At the end of each month, your child can bring me their completed calendar and I will exchange it for a coupon for a free personal pizza from Pizza Hut! If your child doesn’t enjoy pizza I still encourage you to have him / her complete the calendar and you can set a reward for him / her. It’s just a fun way to encourage reading – that is our ultimate goal – to have happy and independent readers and writers! Thank you for helping us with this!
The bookbag will be sent home on today, Please send your child back on Monday with the book bag!
