Why is it important that we study Christian Persecution?

Although this topic is definently sad, I think that it is something that we should study and know more about than what we do. By learning about the Christians who are being persecuted, in the United States and on other parts of the world, it really opened my eyes. I saw the suffering that people are enduring and it helped me appreciate the religious freedom that we have. I realized that if people are being threatened for holding up their faith, and they still worship, shouldn’t we have the same faith that they do? Those people love God so much that they are willing to die, and while we don’t have any struggles we are still holding back from spreading the Gospel.
