Analize The Outsiders: The book and movie

Introduction:

I think the book was very good. I like how the theme tells us to stay the way we are. God made us to be unique and made us to BE us. I think they did a pretty good job on the movie closely related to the book. I had many emotions including happy, excited, and nervous; but all – in – all, I enjoyed the book very much.

Compare:

Mostly, the movie stayed with the same plot, actors, and names. They most of the important parts and had the actors correctly act as in the book. I like how they had the actor for Two-Bit stay in character as if he was always drunk even though he never had something to drink to make him that way.

Contrast:

Although, they did tweak some of the parts from the book. I wish the actor for Ponyboy had longer hair, as they explained in the book that he was proud of his long hair. Also, the movie didn’t have the end when the teacher assigns Ponyboy a paper worth 5 pages to help his grade, but instead he writes a book, meaning this book. I wish they had put that in the movie too.

Evaluate:

I agree with the greasers that they fight for their social group. There shouldn’t be anyone better than anyone, so they should fight for their pride. I do disagree, though, they should should talk first instead of jumping right into fighting and hurting each other.

Conclusion:

The movie and book were great to enjoy. I had felt many different emotions during The Outsiders. I like how the actors stayed in character in the movie with the book, but I do wish Ponyboy looked more like the book described and they ended the movie the way they ended the book.
