The part that impacted me the most was the part when coyotito died. I learned that when you get something that you have wanted forever it takes you over and you can control your self. Don’t let things that over your life.

Shadow Day

I felt that shadow day was just sweet and I loved it. I thought that every 8th grade should shadow someone. I shadowed Noah Bosma and he works at Integrity Landscape and he is hired as a mechanic but he does just about every think from barking to rebuilding engines on a mower. I could really see my self having this job and doing what he does because I love working out side and i just love working on mowers trucks and mower weed whippers and skid steers. I loved shadow day.

The Pearl

I would really want to have a pencil that had spell check when you have to write and if you spelled something wrong the pencil would automatically would erase and spell the word correctly in your hand writing. Also I would want sharpies to no bleed through the paper but still have the great permeant part of the sharpie but just not to bleed through the paper. Another thing I would want is a backpack that you could put every thing you need for school laptop, pen, books, and everything else but it would no be heavy it would make the items in it lighter so that it doesn’t hurt you back and it doesn’t hurt your shoulders. Another thing that would be cool is shoes that never wear out and they will grow with your feet.

So those are the only thing i could think of that i would want to be different because i think that those thing would be great and every one would use them.

Toughest Race on Earth

Allen DenBleyker

This year is the 28th annual 220 km race across the sahara desert. The race will be seven days long and you will have to carry all of your food ans supplies on your back. The oldest person doing it is 76 years old and there are 1024 competitors for 50 different countries all attempting to finish the race . Three people have died in the past years running this race. In order to even participate in this race you have to pay a 4,500 dollar fee and you have to do 5 half marathons and you have to run a 75km run that has to be completed in 36 hours. All competitors are required to carry food ,sleeping gear, anti venom pump, and glow sticks. Also there are a ton of other thing that have to be done to have this race work and for the runners safety which are 120,000 liters of water, 400 staff members, 270 berber, 100 all terrain vehicles, 52 medical staff, 23 buses, 2 helicopters and 2 comerical planes.

My thoughts are that every one who is running this race is insane and also every one is really really crazy to pay 4,500 just to run a race.

Recapping of The Senate Session & Jobs

During are class senate session I learned that not every one is going to under stand what you are trying to say and also i learned that i get frustrated when people constantly ask how much is it going to cost and not everyone really likes what you are proposing and also no every one like what you have to say. i learned that are class really doesn’t like the idea of having buffalo on are flag and not every one like the idea of having a certain name but i really really dislikes how are countries name is something from the Hunger Games. also i learned that are government doesn’t always like to work together and that there are more conflicts than i thought also i had know clue that some many people would amend thing to be different and then it would workout in the end when we voted it would change and that it didn’t stay the same the when the bill was passed. now i realize that this happens in the real world i would have never thought that is would be like this in the real world and before this would have never guessed that it would be like this. in the future i should have a good reason to amend stuff not just to do it for no reason also i need to work on asking more question and explaining thing better.

my favorite parts where when we got to amend stuff and when we could say how we would want it as a idea not that the original one was wrong. i think i need to have a better reason before i amend something and i should have a better idea on what i am going to present.

Water Erosion

In are project of water erosion we made two cakes and we modeled one before water erosion and the other one after water erosion has took place. water erosion is where the friction and the particles in the water rub up against the river bed and eats away the floor and creates something different and makes the river wider and deaper. water erosion happens in all river, lakes. ponds ,and oceans

Comparing Governments

We are comparing all sorts of governments and how they are ran by all different countries. I was surprised by how different and how similar they are ran like how large countries are ran almost the same way some small countries are ran. Before we did this i really didn’t know much about how a country was ran and how much a government actually does, the do a lot! But i wouldn’t work if they all worked on there own all the branches work together to make it all work and all come together. Lots of republic countries are ran almost the same and they all believe that they all need to work together to have the country be run correctly. And they all know what to do and how to do it. All countries need to know how to run a country to make it succeed in there economy and how everything is done.

Volcano Project

Our volcano is a model of the volcano called Black Peak. Black Peak last erupted in 1900 B.C. As you can see there are tooth picks with flags on them labeling all the different parts on the volcano in english and spanish. There is the mantle in spanish it is called manto. Then we have magma it is spelled the same in magma. Next is lava flow and in spanish it rio de lava. Next we have mud flow in spanish it is lahar. Next we have bombas and in spanish it is bumbas. Next we have gases and is spelled the same. Next we have crater. Next there is vent. Then we have the side vent. then we have the pipe. Then we have magma chamber.

Officials: Hostage standoff ends with child rescued, kidnapper dead

Allen DenBleyker

last week a 5 year old boy was abducted and was finally release after 6 days in a under ground bunker the man had made. The boy was on his way home when the gunman stepped on the bus and shot the bus driver as all the rest of the kindergardeners have evacuate off the emergency exit on the bus this 5 year old autistic boy was kid napped and taken to a under ground bunker. In this bunker the FBI and the police communicated with the man and the boy for over 6 days all day every day. After talking with the kidnapper it finally came apparent that the hostage was holding a gun then they feared that the boy was in extreme danger and that the child needed to be rescued. And then at 3:12pm central time the boy was rescued but they had to shot the guy who was holding the kid hostage to get the kid safely out The boy was held in a bunker 4 feet under ground and there was electricity and a heater and blankets down there which was good so that they could stay warm and they communicated with the FBI through a air pipe that was above ground and that connected with the bunker.

My thought where that, that is just crazy why somebody would kidnap a 5 year old special needs boy. The biggest thing that I am wondering is that why would he have a bunker 4 feet under ground. Also another big question I have is that why would he choose that boy and why such a young boy why didn’t he choose a 3rd or 4th grade boy not a kindergardener it makes no sense. It is good that the FBI gave the kid the medication he needed and they gave him a match box cars and cheese-its. Also I just hope and pray that this doesn’t happen again because maybe next time the hostage wont come out alive I just hope that this doesn’t happen again.
