Math Project

In math we were told to come up with a real life problem that involves the pythagorean Theorem. Our group of three (Maggie, Grace and I) made ours about a woman named Susan that went on a run every day. We thought of our problem because we were looking at world records with potatoes and we thought we needed to have something to do with running and then we thought of Mrs. Roskamp and Toby. So Susan ran 3 miles one way and 2 miles in another and she had to cut through a park to get home quicker. So she had to figure out how far that is so she had to use the pythagorean theorem. Which turned into 3.6 miles and 3.6 miles is faster than 5 miles.
