A savior:

We learned in class that God’s new covenant through Jesus brings heaven to the brokenness of earth. I think that we don’t all see the things that are really happening arounds us because we are wrapped around the things we love more like our phones, and pets and the things we use as idols. So we just get lost in those things and the more we get attached to them the deeper we go in the tunnels so we end up in this big tunel lost and we can’t find our way out because we got ourselves dug into.

Names:

We learned in class that names in ot have meaning. Ei-creator, powerful God. YHWH-loving, relational God. I feel that YHWH loving, relational God has lots of meaning to me because I was baptized in a church and I have grown up in a community of christians for many years and I do plan to have my future be involved with being in a church that way I can stay in a christian environment.

Conflict/Doubt:

We learned in class that it is healthy to ask questions and search for answers. I think that mother Teresa put me in perspective with how she helped her community and the way she did things. And she never did doubt what God’s plan was for her and she always trusted God in everything she did.

Covenant:

We learned in class that conditional covenants if…then… if we follow Sinai covenant. And unconditional covenant no matter what, Jesus. I think that the love we have for other things isn’t as important as the love that we have for Jesus. So we should know that Jesus is the one we should accept as our covenant.

Call:

We learned in class that we respond to God’s covenant promises. Abraham, issac, and jacob. I think that we should respond to the things God is calling us to do like mission trips to help the people around the world because sometimes we don’t realise the things that are going on around us so people get away with stealing and things like that.

Slavery/Salvation:

We learned in class that our struggles become part of our story. I think that we are gonna have struggles in life because having struggles can be good because it teaches us to look at it in a different way so that we can figure it out. It helps us find what we are going for in life so what we figure out can become part of our story so we try as hard as we can to figure stuff out.

Sinai Law:

We learned in class that the law and love, what are your golden calves? I think that we shouldn’t have golden calves because we use them as idols and we shouldn’t have any idols. Some idols I have are friends, electronics, and pets.

Sent to promise land:

We learned in class that the israelites had to trust Moses and Jesus to lead them to the promised land. They went through wilderness, Jordan river, Jericho. “Choose today whom you will follow” I think that when I crossed the creek at school it was very similar because i felt like Jesus was there with me when I crossed the creek. it felt like it was kind of  real and I just had to trust Jesus as I walked through.
