This year, you can expect monthly updates about what we will be studying in Tech class!

1st grade

Students will be practicing with Seesaw, creating posts connecting to content with a variety of tools. Then we will begin our unit on Online Safety with lessons Pause and Think Online, How Technology Makes You Feel, and Internet Traffic Light.

2nd grade

We are currently working on our problem-solving and building skills with Keva planks, creatively building designs related to new challenges every week. Later in the month, students will review good typing habits and practice with Typing Club.

3rd grade

Students have been working with WeVideo to create their first video production. Next we will introduce blogs and students will have a chance to begin with this tool that is a digital portfolio of their learning.

4th grade

Students are currently working on WeVideo projects related to Government and sharing their productions with others. Next, they will begin typing for the Write Michigan contest in Google Docs.

5th grade

Students have been researching their historical person, and are beginning to create slideshow presentations, which will ultimately be published and shared on their blogs. If possible, we’ll start our unit on WeVideo with green screens by the end of the month.
