corinthians 13 rewritten.
If I volunteer at city on a hill, but do not have love, I am only a person seeking attention. 2 If I have the gift of song and can sing in church , and if I have the courage to share the gospel, but do not have love, I am using my talents in the wrong way. 3 If I give hugs to my brothers and put on a smile when the come home, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
Love is babysitting my cousins on a snow day, love is my moms hugs. It does not push, it does not shove, it is not scared of the dark. 5 Love does not hate, it is not jealous, it is not seeking attention, it keeps on loving till the end. 6 Love does not delight in bullying but rejoices in standing up for others.7 Love always thinks of others, always helps out, always is passionate, always keeps from harm.
Love never leaves your side. But where there is bullying , it will cease; where there are cuss words, they will be ceased; where there is anger, it will turn to joy. 9 For we don’t know very much, 10 but when we see your face we will know much more.
When I was child I fought like a child , I screamed like a child. When I became a man, I stopped fighting and screaming 12 For now we see a fraction of our sins but when we get to heaven; then we shall become perfect and repent. Now I know only a tiny bit but; then I will know everything, even as I am known.
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
