1. How have you experienced God lately? How are you praying to see God’s presence in the world? 5 complete, detailed sentences
I have experienced God through not getting sick from the coronavirus. Other ways I have experienced God are still being able to talk to friends online. Also homework is getting easier and i am able to get it done faster. So, a lot of things have gotten easier and I find it better to adjust to. This is an extra sentence i have to write because there has to be five sentences in this answer
2. Describe a time when you were playing outside since the “Stay at Home” went into effect. What did you do? What was the weather like? How did the outside time make you feel? 5 complete, detailed sentences
One of the things I did outside was I rode on my ripsitck. It was damp and it started raining but only after I finished going around the block. I felt really relaxed while I was going around the block and watched the birds and stuff. It was in the afternoon after lunch. and again I have to write this extra sentence because there isn’t anything else to tell
3. Describe one highlight and one “low-light” since your last blog post. 5 complete, detailed sentences.
Make sure to read the comment your teacher left for you after your first post during online learning.
I did not really have a low-light this week I know I will get a bad grade for not having five sentences about nothing. Wait maybe you can it would have to be some kind of poem or something.

corona blog post

My week was really boring. I emailed some friends and played with my legos. I also played video games and watched movies. The teachers sent in some assignments so did some homework. My highlights were that I got all my homework done. My lowlight are that I did not get to hang out with friends. My teachers already know that I finished my homework, so nothing.

cataluña

Cataluña es un lugar que esta marcado como parte de España cuando debe ser su propio país. Algunas razones por eso son: 

 

  1. Cataluña tiene una cultura muy fuerte y antigua.

Las personas que viven en Cataluña hablan un lenguaje que es diferente que los otros lugares en España. Tienen sus propios tradiciones como hacer casteles. Esta es evidencia que es importante porque significa que Cataluña no siempre era parte de España. También dice que deben ser su propio país. Y siempre hablaban su propio lenguaje.

 

  1. En Cataluña vive 15% del población de España.

También 20% de la moneda que gana España viene de Cataluña. Esto significa que si eran su propio país podrían ganar suficiente moneda para todavía ser un país con suficiente moneda. Esto significa que van a tener una economía fuerte si se separan de España. Por esto creo que va a estar bien si Cataluña se separa de España.

Topic 1- Names 

In this blog post I will be talking about names in the bible. My name means God supports and heals. In the Bible God had many names. Elohim which means creator and Yaweh which means caring God. God gave and changed names based on their meaning. Names showed a person’s character, what they were like or how they acted. I chose a name tag because name tags make me think of names.

Topic 2- Conflict/Doubt

In the bible there was a lot of conflict and doubt People had with God. Jacob got his name changed to Israel because he physically wrestled with God. My thoughts about this are that the bible had a lot of struggles. Today people are struggling as well like: people with cancer. I chose a sword to represent conflict. Also I put question marks to represent doubt. 

Topic 3- Covenant

A covenant is an agreement between two groups. In the bible there are a lot of covenants. There are two types of covenants in the Bible: conditional and unconditional. An unconditional covenant in the Bible is: the noahic covenant. An example of a conditional covenant is: God’s covenant with the israelites that said that if they obeyed him they could go to the promised land. I put the image of a contract here because it is similar to a covenant. 

Topic 4- Call

In the Bible, God would call people to do stuff for him on earth. Some of the people God calls in the Bible are: Abraham, Issac and Jacob. In the Bible God called Issac, Abraham and Jacob to go to a different land. God still calls people today. When God calls you should trust him. I put a picture of a trumpet here because it was used in bible times to call people together and it is still used today.

 

 

Topic 5- Slavery/Salvation

Joseph and Moses are two people in the Bible who saved the israelites or brought the out of slavery. Some people in the Bible wanted to harm the israelites and people like Joseph and Moses had God help save the israelites. I chose a picture of Egypt for my image because Joseph was exiled to egypt as a slave. Also, moses saved the israelites from slavery in Egypt. I learned that slavery was very common a long time ago. 

Topic 6- Sinai Law

The ten commandments are the laws that God gave to the israelites at Mount Sinai. They are also an example of a conditional covenant. The covenant is that God says he must be their only god and that the israelites must follow his commands. In return God will take them to the promised land. I chose the ten commandments because those were the laws made at mount Sinai. To me this topic means that we should follow laws today.  

 

Topic 7- sent to the promised land

When the israelites were sent to the promised land they faced many challenges that God helped them through. When they did not know where to go God led them with a cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night. When they were hungry God provided them with manna and quail. And he told them what to do to destroy Jericho. I chose bread as my image to represent manna. To me this means that God will help me through challenges in my life.

Topic 8- Symbol of a Lamp

The symbol of a lamp represents Jesus because Jesus is the Light of the world. Jesus is the replacement for the constantly burning lamp in the tabernacle. The lamp is a symbol for guidance. The Bible says God’s word is a lamp unto our feet. I chose an image of a lamp because it goes along perfectly with the topic. To me this topic means that God is a light that can guide us through the darkness of life.

vivir en un dollar

En estudios sociales vimos un película llamada viviendo en un dollar. Se trataba sobre personas que llegan en Guatemala y viven cada día con un dollar. Me di cuenta de que muchas veces personas no tienen suficiente comida y están viviendo en el borde de vida.

Lost in love

This year, our theme for school is lost in love. What I think that means is that God’s love is so big that we are lost in it. This year we have to write a paragraph about how we have seen God’s love at school or in the classroom. I think one of times I have seen God’s love in the classroom is when our teachers help us learn subjects at school. I think that is one of the ways I have seen God’s love in the classroom.
