Letter to the King of England

Dear Your Majesty King George of England,

My name is Jade vanEyk, and I am one of your colonists. I  am writing you this letter on account of the Stamp Act. As you should remember The Stamp Act is where we have to pay taxes on most paper goods, then a stamp is put on the item to show the tax has been paid.

The reason I am upset about this act is not because of the tax itself, because I know that the taxes are higher in England, but because we as colonists have no legal representation in England, and the people in England do have legal representation. Since we colonists have no legal representation in England, we have no say in what you tax us on or what you do to us.

I think we colonists should either have legal representation in England, or you do not put unfair acts on us. I hope you have learned something from reading this letter and  decide to do something about these unfair acts. I hope you decide to make things more fair for us colonists.

Your Colonist,

Jade vanEyk
