For the past couple of months we have been working on making a picture book. First we researched by reading lots of  articles about making a picture book. We read how to illustrate a picture book and how to write one. Then we went to a 1st grade room and had them take a survey that we made. It help us get our final ideas for our picture book before we started writing them. Every person I surveyed wanted the kid in my story to have a friend or brother or sister. When we were writing our rough drafts we had to rewrite  them a lot until we got it how we liked it. We had people edit them them we wrote our final draft and shared them with another 1st grade class. I thought that was really fun.
